The undisturbed sensorimotor development of the child represents an important basis for the psycho-cognitive and emotional development process of every human being.

Damage to the developing organism is therefore particularly momentous. With early detection and early start of therapy, however, the great learning ability of the child offers good opportunities for a positive influence on the development process.

The aim of a physiotherapeutic treatment is an individual optimal development of the sick or disabled child in order to ensure the greatest possible independence. The physiotherapy tries v.a. to influence the motor skills of the child, eg by:

  • Instructions of parents / caregivers
  • Storage and handling (supporting handles)
  • environmental design
  • perception-enhancing stimuli
